Is Image Compressor free?
Yes. The available processing tools are free to use, with no account or subscription. Device, format and file-size limits still apply.
Are my files uploaded?
No. File contents are processed locally in your browser. The website and processing code are downloaded from Cloudflare. See our privacy notice for the distinction between files and ordinary website requests.
What are the limits?
Up to 20 images · 25 MB each · 40 megapixels. Still HEIC, HEIF, JPG, PNG and WebP inputs are supported. Animated PNG and WebP are rejected. Output is JPG, PNG or WebP.
Does conversion improve quality?
Conversion changes format or settings; it cannot recreate detail that has already been lost. Lossy outputs can reduce quality. Keep your original until you are happy with the result.
