FREEFILEKIT FILE GUIDE

How to merge, rotate, remove and reorder PDF pages

Start with the operation that changes the least. Extract pages when you need a selection, reorder when every page should remain, and merge when you have several documents. FreeFileKit creates a new PDF and leaves your original files unchanged.

Combine documents in the right order

In Merge PDF, select the documents, then use the up and down controls next to each filename. The document at the top comes first; pages retain their order inside each document. Up to 50 input files can be combined, subject to the size and output-page limits.

Select pages with numbers and ranges

In Extract PDF Pages, enter 1, 3–5 to keep pages 1, 3, 4 and 5. Page numbers start at 1. A range goes from the smaller number to the larger one, and repeated page numbers are rejected. This is useful for saving one chapter or removing a cover from a copy.

Reorder without accidentally dropping a page

For a five-page document, enter 3, 1–2, 4–5 in Reorder PDF Pages. The result starts with page 3, followed by pages 1, 2, 4 and 5. Every page must appear exactly once. Enter reverse to reverse the entire document.

Rotate or remove selected pages

Rotate PDF accepts all or a selection such as 2, 4. Choose an additional 90, 180 or 270 degree turn. Remove PDF Pages removes the selected pages but requires at least one page to remain. Removing pages is not a text-redaction feature.

What to check before using the result

The tools copy PDF page content rather than turning every page into an image. However, signatures, forms, bookmarks and other document-level features are not guaranteed to survive. Inspect the downloaded document, especially when it contains interactive fields or signatures. Password-protected PDFs are not supported.

Each input may be up to 100 MiB, combined inputs up to 300 MiB, and the result up to 500 pages and 300 MiB. Complex documents can require more memory than their file size suggests. Smaller batches can help on mobile devices.
